This book deals with the grass-roots nature of Power Systems . It is presented in the Mathcad 14 format my means of a Mathcad 14 program package, which will enable readers both to do the necessary reading of the material and to perform the development and manipulation of the math required to understand and to analytically model the fundamental structures of Electric Power Systems.The book is structured to convey fundamental understanding to the reader. The theory and calculations are presented in a dynamic manner in Mathcad. That means that the reader can go into any equation and make the changes needed to generate those insights that are so often missed with normally written material. Whenwritten on paper, numerical quantities and mathematical equations have to be separately manipulated to make sense to the learner. When presented in the Mathcad format on the computer screen, equations and calculations are “live” and by changing a variable or quantity or the magnitude of a parameter in one equation,it actively changes answers and graphical displays throughout all relevant sections. This facility enables more insight into a subject than any printed matter can ever give. Also, as the experience of the learner improves with Mathcad it will enable him to begin investigating other, more complex concepts that would just not beattempted if it had to be done on paper.
